Why Arctran?
In a digital world of ever growing security threats, users should be empowered with secure secondary channels to confirm the actions performed on their behalf are not compromised and to grant their explicit consent prior to such activities been carried out by automated systems.
What is Arctran?
Arctran is a general purpose multifactor authorisation provider to a) increase user confidence, b) proof transactions, c) enforce non-repudiation and d) enhance cooperative decision-making processes.
Multifactor?
It means Arctran requires the presentation of two or more of the three well-known basic “factors”: a knowledge factor (something the user knows), a possession factor (something the user has) and an inherence factor (something the user is).
Is Arctran a kind of Two-Factor Authentication (TFA) provider?
Actually it’s much than that. Though Arctran may act as a TFA provider, its services are not constrained to authentication only.
What’s unique about Arctran?
No competitor has a clear separation between the actor (the user performing the activity) and the authority (responsible for supervision and approval). Besides, competitors lack the concept of cooperative control, where multiple users decide on the validity of certain action. Arctran has secured intellectual property protection in these respects.
What intellectual property?
Arctran has been granted four patents in the following jurisdictions:
- UK: Patent number GB2490045
- Hong Kong: Patent number HK1177070
- US: Patent Number US8719907 and Patent Number US8800004
Under the International (PCT) Patent Application No. PCT/EP2013/055478 Arctran has entered the regional phase at the European Patent Office (38 designated states) and entered the national phase in 20 additional countries.
