Access protection of Corporate / Commercial / Government property would be further secured with Arctran CBAS in the same way as Personal Property above but could be extended to include Bank Vaults / Jeweller Strong Rooms / Cash Transit Vehicles and Prisoner Transit Vehicles etc.

Property Entry Security Systems can be breached if the Security Code falls into the wrong hands. However, by adding Arctran CBAS to your security system an alarm is triggered to your Predetermined Authorised Device (PAD) which must be responded to in order for entry to be gained to the property.

Safety Deposit Boxes can be made even more secure by adding Arctran CBAS to the security system. This is particularly relevant where there is shared access to a Safety Deposit Box as when one party attempts to gain access an alarm would be triggered to the PAD of the other party(ies) thereby affording them the opportunity to accept or reject access.

In corporate environments the solution may be adopted to complement intranet access security, as an alternative to more expensive and harder to deploy methods (e.g. smartcard readers) that usually demand specialized hardware and software, while Arctran on the contrary would allow organizations to leverage the general-purpose/commercial devices already owned by their employees.

As with personal Wi-Fi; Arctran CBAS would increase the security of Corporate Wi-Fi accounts by triggering an alarm to key personnel alerting them to the fact that uninvited guests are trying to gain access to their system and prevent them from doing so. Again, in conjunction with systems and hardware, Arctran CBAS would enable after-hours access to Corporate Wi-Fi to be defeated. Websites or other network based businesses can rely on Arctran CBAS to control the access to their services. They may deploy the solution as a standalone authentication provider or as an extra layer of security on top of their own architecture; either way, enjoying the benefits of the Arctran platform (geolocation, secure channel, etc.)

Arctran CBAS would be particularly useful in exercising Internal Wi-Fi control in that all attempted logins would trigger an alarm such that the account holders would have the ability to accept only those persons whom they wish to join their Wi-Fi network thereby eliminating family (and their friends)/neighbours/corporate hackers etc being able to join your Wi-Fi network without your permission. Used in conjunction with systems and hardware would enable the account holder to control when children could access Wi-Fi (see Parental Control).

Further, by using an out-of-band secure communication channel, Arctran stands apart from many other TFA approaches which remain vulnerable to man-in-the-browser and man-in-the-middle attacks. Therefore, the solution is a legitimate candidate to implement TFA in decentralised corporate environments relying on web-based workflows.

Arctran goals are aligned with authentication in the most orthodox sense. In fact, supporting the implementation of Two Factor Authentication (TFA) deployments is one of the demonstrated use-cases of the Arctran Security System. The three well known categories of authentication factors are:

• Knowledge: something the user knows.
• Inherence: something the user is.
• Possession: something the user has.

Arctran complies with the first and second elements in the list, by corroborating the customer credentials and acceptance PIN, as well as employing verification of the “voting vehicle” (the Predetermined Authorisation Device).
